My name is Gustavo Vazquez-Cortez, and I am a recent graduate from the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!), where I graduated with a major in Business Advertising and a minor in Criminology. I also had the honor of being part of the Zimmerman Advertising Program, which enabled me to develop both my creative and analytical skills. I have an innate passion for advertising, and my experience ranges from graphic design to analytical research. The reason I got into the world of advertising/marketing is that I've always been fascinated by how people perceive the world around them, and I've always loved storytelling because of the positive impact it can create.
My primary professional goal is to expand my knowledge and skills in all aspects of the advertising field. I have experience in several areas, including establishing and managing multiple social media accounts, creating content, and overseeing the accounts' operations. I have also won graphic design contests. More recently, I had the honor of leading the university's student government's marketing team as Chief Marketing Officer. I am currently a Marketing Intern at Coca-Cola Florida, and I have truly been able to take my knowledge to the next level with the guidance of incredible mentors, valuable experiences, and impactful projects.
I find advertising to be an exceptional way to tell stories through creativity and vision. This process is what captivates me because it allows me to express my curiosity and transform my creativity and vision into something tangible and meaningful.
In the future, my dream job is to become a creative director in an advertising agency. I have admired this position ever since I first learned about advertising/marketing.
