Hello!
My name is Gustavo Vazquez-Cortez, and I am a senior at the University of South Florida studying advertising. I am part of the Zimmerman Advertising Program, which allows me to develop both my creative and analytical skills. I am passionate about advertising and engage in various activities, from graphic design to analytical research. I have always been fascinated by how people perceive the world around them, as we encounter many influences that shape our thoughts and actions daily.
My mission is to further expand my knowledge and skills in the advertising field. I have experience in several areas, including establishing and managing my high school's social media accounts, winning graphic design contests, and, more recently, leading my university's student government's marketing team. I find marketing an exceptional way to tell stories through design and intentional messaging. This process captivates me, allowing me to express my curiosity and transform my creativity and vision into something tangible.
My dream job is to become a creative director in an advertising agency. I have admired this position ever since I first learned about marketing. I enjoy all aspects of the field, especially the creative side, which includes brainstorming, collaborating, creating a brand vision, and producing content through graphic design or production.

What's next?

From the start of my advertising journey, I always knew I didn’t want to focus on just one aspect of the field. Advertising is vast and rapidly changing, which motivates me to continually reinvent myself to become the best advertiser I can be. That’s why I explore various areas within advertising, such as photography, animation, and illustration. Although I still have much to learn, I’m excited to continue my journey and disrupt the advertising industry in my own unique way, I'm currently working on developing my video content creation skills, and I will soon add a new video section to my website!
